The Ignite the Arts Festival in Penticton, BC, invites artists to submit electroacoustic works for presentation. Ignite the Arts is a vibrant, multidisciplinary festival in its 4th year running, with over 70 artists performing from March 28-30, 2025. The festival weekend is precluded by a weeklong community week.
Selected works will be diffused at the Legacy Den stage, which is dedicated to electroacoustic and experimental music. Pieces will be diffused in quadraphonic sound during the festival weekend (March 28–30).
We welcome stereo and quadraphonic compositions between 3 to 10 minutes in duration.
There is no submission fee, and we are also unable to offer artist fees for selected works—this is a non-commercial, artist-led initiative focused on showcasing experimental and electroacoustic sound in a multi-genre festival context.
Submission Details:
Formats: Stereo or quadraphonic fixed media works. Minimum 16-bit, 44.1 khz, Maximum 32 bit, 96 khz
Duration: 3–10 minutes (longer works may be considered but will have to be sent by another method)
Submission Deadline: March 8, 2025
Notification of Selection: March 20, 2025
Festival Dates: March 28–30, 2025
